The Refracting Lens is used to 'see' the flow of Crysta in the world when it has been drawn out from within a block.
It's exact uses are as follows.
Right Clicking on a Liquefaction Basin will display the total amount and types of Crysta contained within it
Right Clicking on an Experience Collector will display the amount of EXP currently stored
